We all know that sleep is essential to our overall well-being especially during times of high stress and anxiety. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) actually draws attention to the importance of sleep as we navigate through this challenging time. Rest assured that we are committed to protecting ourselves and our valued customers and that we will do everything possible to ensure the cleanliness and safety of our workplace and will lay out some simple guidelines to be followed by our staff and our valued customers alike. Please be aware that these guidelines will change as frequently as needed to adjust to any oversights and/or governmental changes that may be enacted or extracted as we move along. We will require that you to practice social distancing, will encourage the wearing of face coverings, and will maintain a safe number of customers in the showroom at all times. We will continue our normal routine cleaning along with several new disinfection practices before, during, and certainly after each customer visits our showroom. From this point forward we will be using EPA-approved disinfectants to decrease the potential spread of the virus.
In addition to the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), frequent cleaning, and the new sanitizing requirements, we will need to make a few other changes to our delivery service process.
1) When sensible, we will be encouraging customers to either pick-up their merchandise or opt-in for our new no-contact delivery service. This no-contact delivery will consist of the customer acknowledging our arrival and us placing the items purchased at their doorstep, in their garage, or in some other safe place.
2) When in-home delivery is necessary or requested we will be taking extra precautions to address the safety of both our delivery personnel and our valued customers.
3) We will always carry empty mattress bags, shipping tape, and rubber/latex gloves on our truck so we can bag up all used mattress removals safely for transportation to our outdoor “dead mattress” storage container. All mattress removals will be promptly removed from our truck and will never be brought into our warehouse and/or showroom.
As this situation continues to evolve, we are monitoring guidelines and recommendations from the CDC and other state government officials and will make any necessary adjustments. We appreciate your patience, understanding, and support for a local business as we navigate these unprecedented times.
